I look over at my wife and go, "What do you think of that car?"
She says, "Oooo, I like it!"
I tell her, "It is a convertible."
She says, "I like it more."
She thinks her Kia Soul is ugly.

Our wives do not share the same opinion of the Crosscabriolet.

I have a friend that handles divorce litigation. Sounds like you may need his number soon.

Nope, not even close.

It's rare that my wife tells me her opinion on a car (mostly because it's likely to start a 20 minute monologue on my opinion of the car) but she took a photo of the first crosscab she saw and sent it to me asking what the hell it was.
Other cars she despises: Soul, Juke, Evoke, 500L, Country/clubman, xB etc.

My wife usually just glazes over if I talk about cars. She doesn't get it. To her it's just a car. I can usually get her to comment on the aesthetics of a car. It's really weird to me what she likes.

my wife firmly believes the only "convertible" SUV/CUV should be a Wrangler.
Shes a Jeep maniac though...

My wife's opinions on cars are usually limited to; "I like that one." or "I don't like that one."

mine is only interested in 2 things.
Things that say Jeep
Things that have flat black paint and are considered rat rods

Hahaha, in fact the first thing she wanted me to do with the Montego is make it black.
Not going to happen, but it's what she wanted lol

She sees a red car and wants to paint it black?
![]() 05/20/2014 at 12:10 |

Yep.
Really pushed it, would have been a semi triple black car if painted black.
Only defense of keeping it red (because she had me thinking about it too) is that I want to display my original window sticker with the car, which clearly says "Cardinal Red" and would look really dumb in the window of a black car.
